Langhe Chardonnay D.O.C. Traisorì
Growing location
This east-facing vineyard is located in the village of Alba, on cool soil of medium consistency with good drainage. The vines are trained on vertical trellises and pruned using the Guyot system. The cool, well-ventilated conditions mean that the grapes ripen perfectly, maintaining good acidity and developing considerable aromatic qualities.
Wine-making process
Off the skins, with immediate pressing of the grapes, and settling of the must prior to the alcoholic fermentation; after fermenting the wine is stirred on the lees for several months to give it complexity and a longer cellar life; following filtration in spring, the wine is bottled and left for one month before its release.
Tasting notes
Bright straw-yellow, with slight greenish hues; clean, expansive, intense nose, with banana, pineapple and caramel overtones; full, round, salty taste, with long aftertaste hinting at exotic fruits.
